Target Audience Questionnaire

For this blog post it’s important to understand who your audience is. I created a 17-question survey on Google Forms and shared it through platforms like Messages, mail and WhatsApp, collecting 31 responses from friends, family, and classmates. The survey asked questions about their demographics, interests, and preferences when it comes to magazines. This data will help me design our magazine to appeal to our target audience.

RESULTS

QUESTIONS #1-3

Based on these results my target audience is mostly between 15-17 year old hispanic or latino females. But I also have a variety of 46-54 year old and 26-30 male/female and white ethic group.

QUESTIONS #4-5

The majority of my audience read magazines through paper. Their is a variety of responses for magazine genre that my audience like. Mostly sports, fashion, and food attracted my audience first.

Most of my audience is interested in seeing cooking tips and want to learn new recipes.

This helps me because it shows what I can do for my magazine article.

Since my magazine is focused of Argentinian cuisine and most of my audience is interested in Argentinian cuisine this helps me know what most of my audience would want to see in my magazine. Most of my audience wants to see traditional recipes and street food from Argentina. Since my audience is open to trying new foods this helps me create and show my audience foods that our popular and they may not know about.

QUESTIONS #13-14

Most of my audience would like to see a mix of Argentinian food instead of just Milanesas as the main dish. Also they would like to see plated meals. This helps me figure out exactly what I could do for my main cover and extra pictures to take.

Here their is a variety of people who don't cook, who do cook, and who only cook a few times a week. This helps because if I provided cooking recipes maybe my audience could follow my steps and cook it too.

My audience mostly likes images over reading long paragraphs. This helps me so that way I could add more images into my magazine instead of long paragraphs which could be boring.

This survey was a great way to figure out what my target audience would like for my magazine. This helps me improve my decisions for my magazine like my main cover, text, and more. Now I know my audience would like to see a lot of pictures of Argentinian cuisine and since mostly my audience is 15-17 and hispanic. This helps me have a good idea of what to include in my magazine.
